In 2020, DJI released the latest in their line of Matrice drones with the new DJI Matrice 300 RTK.

This DJI drone has new features and advanced AI capabilities that make it ideal for a wide range of applications. In comparison to other commercial drones on the market, the Matrice 300 is able to conduct smarter inspections.

As the Matrice 300 RTK brings so much new functionality, we decided to simplify things and provide a list of the most exciting features of the Matrice 300 RTK.
A rock star of drone technology, the Matrice 300 can handle multiple payloads, including the Zenmuse H20 (visual) and H20T (thermal) cameras.
Every drone mission is different. Drones can be used for reconnaissance, surveillance, or firefighting, but their payload must be appropriate for the mission.
A DJI Matrice 300 RTK can be configured to carry multiple payloads simultaneously if you need to complete a mission. It is possible to mount up to three payloads simultaneously on the Matrice 300, with a maximum capacity of 2.7 kg.
In addition, it supports the new P1 camera payload from DJI, which has a very high-resolution (45MP) camera for higher quality data collection.
One of the most challenging parts of using a drone for surveying or mapping is having to stop halfway through and replace the drone's battery. There will be plenty of time to complete your mission before you need to recharge the Matrice 300, which has a maximum flight time of 55 minutes. A combination of the M300 RTK and Zenmuse H20 Series offers a robust and intelligent drone solution suitable for a wide range of applications and uses.
By lowering the pilot's operational threshold, Smart Inspection makes drone inspections easier for routine data collection tasks such as power line, oil rig, and railway inspections.
Practically, such an approach would allow challenging and complex inspections to be assigned to more experienced pilots for the first time, while new pilots could later use the Smart Inspection features to perform the same inspections - safely and easily.

Live Mission Recording
Waypoint GPS navigation shows your drone where and how high to fly. With Live Mission Recording, this is taken to the next level. A user may record all the details of a flight mission, such as the aircraft movement, the gimbal orientation, the photoshoot, and the zoom level, to create sample mission files for automated inspections in the future. Complex inspection projects can be completed quickly and easily this way.
AI Spot Check
Drone inspections are prone to significant variations in the camera view because minor changes, such as unstable wind conditions or movement of the gimbal (especially at high zoom levels), may result in significant changes. The accuracy and consistency of the data captured can suffer as a consequence, affecting the overall inspection.
AI Spot Check significantly reduces this problem. Objects of interest can be marked during a demo flight, then (through onboard AI algorithms) the target position, angle, framing and orientation can be replicated automatically for future missions.
A new mission planning system, Waypoints 2.0, allows users to create up to 65,535 waypoints and set multiple actions for one or more payloads, including 3rd party payloads. Waypoints 2.0 makes flightpath planning efficient and flexible, especially for more demanding inspections.

With a quick tap, you can mark an object in camera or map view, and advanced sensor fusion algorithms will calculate its coordinates, which are displayed as AR icons across all camera views.
The Smart Track feature lets you identify moving objects like people, cars, and boats, where auto-zoom helps you keep an eye on them.
Advanced Dual Control mode
Dual pilot control protocols on the M300 RTK enable missions to be executed with greater safety and flexibility. Whenever you fly with a co-pilot, you both have equal access to gaining flight control priority, which is indicated by a series of icons on the DJI Smart Controller Enterprise. Two pilots can seamlessly switch between controlling the drone and its gimbal at the same time. As a result of these redesigned flight control protocols, visual line-of-sight between one pilot and a co-pilot can be maintained to enable missions beyond visual line-of-sight (BVLOS). The mission can take off from the location of one pilot and land at the location of another.
DJI's newest transmission system, OcuSync Enterprise, is available on the M300 RTK. Upgraded to OcuSync 2.0, OcuSync Enterprise can transmit three routes of 1080P 30FPS downlink at 15 km to your remote controller. Pilots now have the longest and most responsive connection to their drone and payloads with OcuSync Enterprise. Pilots can access mission-critical information and seamlessly transition between displays with the M300 RTK's smart controller.
Damage to drones is often caused by more than just collisions with obstacles. Inclement weather can also pose a threat to drones and damage the aircraft with dust and water. With its IP45 ingress protection, the Matrice 300 is dust and water-resistant, allowing you to fly missions in adverse weather conditions without worry.
